  Should Edge Gold OSB ever be green

I received an order of Pro-Build's Edge Gold OSB and many of the sheets were green. I found the quality of the wood to be terrible. It would break during basic handling while OSB from Home Depot would not.

Would you all expect that sheets of Edge Gold OSB could be green or were the sheets that I got bad? Other people seem to have good things to say about Edge Gold OSB and it's hard to imagine that based on the quality of the wood that I received.

Looking at their web site it sounds like you have defective panels.

I may have misread something you posted, per their site the edges are green but not the sheet itself. But if they are breaking they sure don't sound like they are meeting the spes they show for them.

  Should Edge Gold OSB ever be green

The edges are often golden which makes sense since they are named Edge Gold. Many of the boards look totally green however. I suspected that they must be defective but I wanted to get some opinions. It sounds like this OSB is normally decent quality and not green. I can't imagine what they did to this wood before I got it. It really shouldn't be green, right?
