we have a 2005 chevrolet silverado truck with codes 171 174 332 and duplicated cant reset did replace 02 sensor B1 S1 readings look ok but service ligth still on, any body any help let us know..

Aztecaman,

I passed your problem along to a friend of mine. He's a GM mechanic. He're his reply.

I would need more information. Engine ID? California emissions?

You may have already fixed the problem with the work you've done. However, the engine service light will remain on until one of three things happens.

1. clear with scantool
2. remove battery power for a few minutes
3. 40 run cycles (engine start / stop) and it will clear itself if the problem is gone.

Replacing the faulty part, alone, does not clear the light.

If the light remains on after clearing it, the problem has not yet been repaired.
