Lots of valves do help.... My Tundra has 32 valves and it breathes real good at high rpm's.

  What exactly is a HEMI

The Hemi engine in a pickup just doesn't make sense to me. Most people who use their pickups as daily drivers are trying to get decent mileage and still be able to haul and tow a little bit. People who use their trucks quite a bit go with the diesels. So why in the world would you put some 500 HP engine in a truck. People should make up their mind if they want a sports car or a truck. Sort of reminds me of the old GMC Cyclone.
I'm afraid a lot of these people buying these cars with the "hemi" powered motor are going to be a little disappointed when a kid pulls up next to them at a red light in their little import and leaves them setting still and still get 30 miles to the gallon!!!!
I'm like Chief, if I'm going to get power, I want diesel power. Speed in a pickup is like oil and water, they weren't meant to be mixed together. Just my $.02 fellas.

I have a 2004 Dodge 2500 4x4 w/hemi, it does have alot of power compared to other trucks, more horses than the other brands, pulls nicely, and runs like a cat with its tail on fire when needed, but man does it drink the gas!!! They aint kidding about the two plugs burning fuel better, thats the thing they do best!

  What exactly is a HEMI

There are two types in production right now. The truck version and the car version. The truck version is simply a mutiport fuel injected engine with hemispherical combustion chambers. Yes the plugs go right there the valve cover. The car version is "High tech" it has the ability to shut down 4 of the cylinders at highway speed to save gas.

As for the 500 HP Dodge truck, that is the SRT 10. Basically it is a viper on a truck body. Same engine trany rears ect. But costs thousands less. I know I would buy one.
