Anyone out there have any idea why my power steering would start 'growning' when I turn the wheel(even when not moving), it began about 6 weeks ago, not real loud, but has been getting to be more of a noise as time goes on. I checked everything possible, but fluid is full and everything else looks good. I have driven Fords with power steering for over 20 years and never had this occur. It has about 93K on it and is a 4 wheel drive. 8 cylinder vortex engine - 4.6
Any ideas would be appreciated. It does NOT turn any harder either, just makes the 'grown' noise.
