Coleman generator fix
A while back there were some problems with these generators that came with a 10hp Tecumseh motor with the infamous "un adjustable carburator".Well after the Y2K scare was over, my dad picked up a "used" one that was never started .I could not get this thing to run right, I had the carb off looking for dirt, tested the ignition, all looked good, plus there was no consistancy to the miss that it would get.Getting it fixed under warranty is useless, because legally a dealer can only replace with original equipment, hence another useless unadjustable carb, we can thank the EPA for this. I did some research and got part# TC632697 which is a replacement carb with needle adjustments, now the problems are over. It cost me $64.10,which I know shouldn't have to be spent on something new, but it drives me nuts when something doesn't run right.

Coleman generator fix
Thanks Jim!
I had purchased the same kind of generator and have the exact same problem. Since I don't use the generator much, I thought I would try to tinker with the carb to get the miss out. Of course, no luck there. Eliminating the fuel filter didn't help much either. I am going to do the fix you did.
Thanks for the Part Number.

Coleman generator fix
I own a similar generator. Mine would run for a while then start cutting out. I found that the fuel hose went from the tank down below the carburetor then back up to the carb. I rerouted the hose where it made a continuous downward slop to the carb. Now it runs fine. Hope this helps if you are still having problems.
