2013 Subaru WRX 5 door Hatch
When I go mountain biking on the trail I go through a small town with Victorian homes. One of the homes has no garage but the owner has great taste in cars. which are displayed in detailed condition on an elevated red cinder drive.
I feel like a teenager when I go by and look at their new silver 2013 Subaru WRX Hatchback. It brings back the days when I was a kid and had no care about fuel economy. Somehow on that drive the car looks so much more prefect and ideal.
It brings back the passion for cool cars that I have lost....
I am so glad that someone owns such a cool looking car that I get to view and not have to own, maintain, clean, and fuel. Thanks neighbor, glad you work from home as well so the car is almost always on display
What reasonably priced cars make you turn your head ?

This picture of 2013 Subaru WRX is similar to the one that I bike by. But I have to say the one I go by honestly looks so much better, maybe it is the elevation, and the juxtaposition against the old house. I will take a picture the next time I go by and post it.

I haven't owned a car in many, many years. I got to the point where I was just plain sick and tired of trying to figure out how to hook up to one, when attempting to pull one out of a snow drift.
Some of the newer cars look nice.......really nice......but after 50 years of helping people get their vehicles out of some tricky spots, I've had it up to my eyeballs with the cheap plastic skirting, dressy trim, light metals, and the generally insane designs coming from the manufacturers these days.
A sporty little car would be great in a place like Texas, California, or Florida. However, if snow and wind are common, those little cars tend to lose many of their sporty trim parts very quickly.......and there is no sense in getting them replaced.

Another view...
Joel,
I had a Pontiac GTO when I was a kid... and the WRX brings back memories of that car. And yes in the snow that GTO was just as useless as trying to open a pickle jar with your hand coated with dish detergent....
And that is why I like to look, would love to borrow / loan for a day and never own
I have only owned 4WD AWD higher ground clearance vehicles for the last 13 years....

Dennis, might be able to rent them. If you have a friend with an auto insurance company they might be able to help with lower price on the rental also.

Actually I could just go to a dealer and test drive one.... some years ago a friend and I went to a Toyota dealer and the sales guy tossed us the keys to their high performance Supra (no longer make). Well we let that baby rip on the interstate, wow !
I think I am better off just looking, I don't want to be smitten!

Dennis,
Dealers are always happy to toss out a set of keys! It's the best selling tactic known to man.
Take a picture of it and hang the photo on the wall. It will cost you 30 bucks.....and no monthly payments. Plus, that photo will last a whole lot longer than the vehicle would. .
I do have to say I truly miss my 1969 Camaro. It was my first and only car. I've owned nothing but heavy trucks since then....and I've never owned a new vehicle in my entire life.
I just priced a new F-450. $999.00 per month for the rest of my life. Just the sales tax on something like that would be about the total cost of the truck I just purchased. Insurance and license is always extra.
