  2013 Subaru Crosstrek

Just started noticing Subaru's new Crosstrek which is based on the Impreza. Essentially it is an Impreza with increased ground clearance, better off road handling, body cladding, and funky bright colors, and a steeper price tag.

Not crazy about the colors but while last year I was interested in the redesigned Impreza, I found that I was underwhelmed when I saw one of them on the road.

The Crosstrek is an improvement, but I would have liked it to be more than a jacked up Impreza, meaning I want just a smidge more cargo carrying capability.

Looks like a fun car though if you don't need the hauling space.

How long did they make those... I think I first saw a vehicle like that in the 80's though might not have been a Subie. The one in the pix looks like it has some sort of cover over the pickup bed. Truly a swiss army knife vehicle. Looks like alot of fun !!!!

  2013 Subaru Crosstrek

Ken,

Soon be a year that you have the Baja, wondering how it worked out for you.

I was looking for a a used Subaru here and it is slim pickings right now. Subaru has a very small share of market here and there are only a hand full of cars within 200 miles. Could be the time of year as we have 3 times the snow this year and Subarus with AWD are popular.

Yes the days of the small Japanese pickup seem to be over at the moment. Glad the Baja is working out for you.

I am shopping for a AWD car for my son and a used Subaru would be a great choice if I could find one.

Used car prices are so high here that it costs not much more to buy new So Sad
