Cookies Mobile Code and such
I need help with TractorPoint. Since installing Zone Alarm virus and spyware software which has done a very good job compared to Norton, TractorPoint has been a bear to download. Got to point of cutting off that software while here.
Have looked in more detail and find the antivirus software is blocking from this site the following and wonder if anyone knows which could be causing the slow down load? Mobile Code, 3rd party cookie, and private header.
It is allowing the other cookie and such.
thanks, GD, GB

Kenneth, I had a similar problem earlier this year also.
I found that there was a way to tell the software that this was a "trusted site" and to allow it to load fully.
As an 'economic necessity' there are 3rd party ads here to help offset the operating costs. It is these ads that your software is trying to block, viewing them as a threat.
I'm sure Dennis will chime in here and give you the straight poop, but as I said, once I found how to tell my software that this site was OK it hasn't been a problem.
Best of luck.

Murf,
I understand the ads that show fine for me or at least they seem to. Am able to click on them as I have some and visited there (which I do encourage all to do). If I was in a related business this site to me would be a great one to advertise on.
I set this site as a trusted one but that still did not handle all the problem. Normally the first thread or so opens fine, but if I got to like a third one it often will not load.
Thanks, kt

That sounds more like there is a problem with your installation of Zone Alarm.
If it works OK the first time it should work fine every other time too.
Best of luck.

Murf is correct (as usual )
I would suggest that you have a look at your spyware, I have found them to be very invasive. I also have Zone Alarm and I have had no problems with it, except that it has to be disabled to allow file sharing on my network.
The problem with some of the products that you install to protect yourself is that they can interrupt the flow of you normal activities, unless they are configured properly.
I removed the spyware that came with my new HP desktop as it was too much of a nuisnace.
TP does set cookies, the ad agencies we use also want to track the success of their ad campaigns, no voodoo here at all.

Dennis,
If I thought there was any VooDoo or anything else wrong in this site I would not be willing to disable my virus software to use it.
Based upon what I asked, am I safe to allow those options at TP?
