I'm really telling my age now, but I do remember reading an article in an auto magazine about the Aurora sometime in the late 50's. Far as ugly the AMC Pacer wasn't far behind. Frank.

With the original grill the Daimler SP250 has to be in the running. This was a serious sports car of the era. I has to be the ugliest roadster sports car.

World s Ugliest Car
With the Daimler, frog face jumps to mind. I am not sure the 3/4 rear view is much better. Look at the picture post. What were they thinking of with the lines on the fenders? Considering the contemporaries, MGA, Sunbeam Alpine, AC Ace, Corvette, Austin Martin DB4, BMW 507, Austin Healey 3000, etc. No wonder they went into recievership.
Actually the running gear made it a true sports car, but what old Brit designed the thing? Friends of mine restored one, I am not sure the thing grow on you, they still call it ugly, although it cost them a mint.

World s Ugliest Car
Well, uhh, ahhh, hmm, I don't know. It's not as bad as some but worse than others. It was probably disigned by a committee with the good Father in charge. I hope they had fun doing it up. It surprises me someone in the church didn't go get it long ago. I sure would have. It is a one off and a little unusual after all and collectible.
