 I-Beam strength

Does anyone know where I can get load rating for steel I-Beams? i.e. a link to an online site would be great.

I'm building a material mandling system for my manufacturing biz, and the design calls for a single I-beam trolley system that will be moving 500 pounds of material (includes trolley and misc. weight). The I-beam will be spanning 12 feet, so I'm curious what size will do.

What is going to determine what width of steel to use will be the trolley wheel spacing requirements. Safe to assume this is one those from Northern Tool? If yes I'd have to think at the very least a 4x4 or 4x6 1/4" thickness H-beam would be plenty. Keep in mind shock loads if you were to quickly lift or quickly lower and stop mid-cycle a heavy load---has a bearing on the formula.
