 Peanut Butter Pie

If you ever pass through Camden Alabama on I 59, stop at Austins Steak and Seafood and have a slice of his peanut butter pie, it's great, best I've ever eaten....

 Peanut Butter Pie

I haven't had pie for nearly two years due to a diet and it shore is missed But given my druthers I'd go for a bunch of other flavors before peanut butter Smile Maybe I don't know what's good since pecan didn't sound very appetizing and now it's a favorite.

Sounds good! Too good as I like it enough that to be told no, I'd eat it anyway. When a kid a group that I thought I needed to belong to had an initiation and I was to eat a jar of peanut butter! That alone was enough to make me want to join them!

A proper pie should have some sort of fruit in it, don't ya think?

Reminds me of the pie you make with Ritz crackers. What's the point?

And another thing..... no whole wheat crust or rice flour either! And use good old fashioned LARD in the pie crust, not canola oil or some such nonsense.

If you want to eat healthy, just skip the pie entirely, don't ruin it with stuff that shouldn't be in there.

I'm more into coconut creme, apple and peach with the latter two having lots of whipped cream or ice cream or both.

Have you never had a good pecan pie? Or is pecans now fruit? If it makes them better for you I can consider peanuts and pecans each fruit. kt

Actually a peanut is a legume not a nut or fruit, and are in the same family as beans and peas.

Other than the fact I can't have any, I do agree with Mark though, do it right or don't bother, kind of like that alcohol-free beer. What's the point of having it then?

Just for the record though, a nice tart apple pie with lots of cinnamon and a big slice of sharp old cheddar would be my vote.

Best of luck.
