Hey four eyes I need your help

How do you keep your glasses from fogging up?
I started wearing glasses for the first time a couple years ago. Until recently I only wore them to read but Ive grown more dependant on them in the last couple of months and started wearing them to do stuff like work in the garage or when Im working in low light. They are such a pain in the a$$? I cant work for more than a minute without stopping to wipe them off. I dont see others having this problem, whats the secret? I have the same issue with safety glasses when I wear them but its not as iritating because I dont depend on them to see.

I dont wear glasses but i know they sell anti fog napkin & they are cheap. I use it on my snowmobile helmut in the winter & it works well. I bought it at the snowmobile shop.

I don't have a big fogging problem with mine, but I do have a problem with sweat dripping on the lenses and obscuring my vision. So I nearly always wear a cap and/or a sweatband. It helps a lot, and also provides a metric for how hard I work. A five sweatband day is a day of real hard work.

you might try treating them with some windshield anti-fog spray. Can't help with the sweat; I sweat like a sponge being wrung out. I carry a bath towel around my neck and wipe away. I go through about 2 1/2 gallons of water on a hard day.

I wore glasses to play hockey..a couple years ago.. before contact lenses were widely available. We used to apply a little split to the lenses and not wipe them completely dry. Worked great.

They now have some really good anti-fog sprays the kids use on the visors of their hockey helmets. Cheap and effective. You can get it at any sporting goods store.

Lasic surgery. It has worked amazingly for my wife. I have 20/20 and now her vision is better than mine. No fog, forgotten, broken, lost, contacts, etc. It may require two surgeries if it is just the effects of aging you want to correct, thats what they told me I may need when age catches me.

Im not ready for surgery yet. I can still do most things without glasses. I drive, actually I just passed my CDL physical without having to wear them. The only time I really use them is reading and detailed stuff with low light. When I got them the optometrist said I would become more dependant on them as I got used to them. I guess I should wear them more as Im not used to them yet.
I'll try that antifog stuff. Ive tried spitting on them, used to do that when I would dive, but it doesnt seem to work on glasses, maybe my spit has gone bad with age along with my eyes.
I get the sweat droplets on them as well but that doesnt bother me like the steaming up does.
I payed a couple hundred for nice frames and perscription lenses a couple years ago. A month ago, while at Walmart, I see these cheapo $5 reading glasses. I try a pair on and low and behold, they work just as well for me as my perscription glasses. What gives?

This is an anti fog product for motorcycle face shields but with a name like this, it must be good.

I've used the Cat Crap product on snowmobile goggles and windshields with some success. I have only had one problem with fogged glasses but that was during a drill on a Nuke Sub trainer. They shut the air conditioning off as part of the drill. It got so humid so fast that clouds formed.

Someone else told me to use a drop of dishwashing soap on the lenses and then wipe it off. A little bit would remain and help with fogging. I've worn glasses for about 21 years before I had laser surgery. Odds are you will have to experiment with a few things before you find the combination that works for you.

Be careful before you rush out and buy this stuff. Many of the new plastic lenses are permanently damaged by anti fog and other products.. If you are not sure, go to your local mall and a Sears store. You can walk into any one of those, show them your glasses and ask what or what not to use on them..
