Big wheels with skinny tires

That's my attitude regarding those that pass me on ice. It's just stupid to go that fast. But then, that's why I make it to work and home. It may take me longer, but it's still faster than waiting for a tow truck.

Big wheels with skinny tires

Over ten years ago I spoke to a guy who worked for a design studio for BFGoodrich in conjunction with GM design studios in Warren, MI (Detroit). He said then that 22" inch rims will be common in less than ten years, and he was right. He also said that it will be common for even pickup trucks to have as large as 28" rims from the factory. Again this was ten years ago, but they were experimenting with 32" rims. If you think about it, any of the concept illustrations (drawings) of cars always shows very tall and wide rims with very little tire sidewall. That's not a coincidence.

I know the X5's run some where between 60 - 80k so I commend anyone willing to off road it!
