  Trade a Clunker Get a Hybrid Credit

Here is the latest brain storm from the administration.


"A concept embraced by President Obama on Monday as part his effort to save General Motors and Chrysler from collapse would provide cash to buyers of new fuel-efficient cars — if they traded in a clunker." [nytimes]

Interesting idea, only give an incentive to people that have gas guzzlers if they trade them in on more efficent vehicles. Hmmmmmm what about those of us that that have been doing the right thing and don't have gas guzzlers .... oh I get it I do the right thing and then they use my tax payments to fund the guy with the big Suburban. Now we are really talking about creative income distribution!

Desparation leads to unbalanced ideas!
