hi there,
I have a little saw stihl ms170 has a frustrating problem at start up, it need about 12 pull to start up after that, star
perfect as long as it is warm after few hours the same problem, other than that works perfect,checked electrical fine, air filter, spark plug,new,new kit in the carby, fuel filter and line o.k other than that it works perfect
any idea guys

How old is the gas? With today's gas you can expect it to be good for about a month without a preservative like STA-BIL, maybe a few months with that. Really, it makes a huge difference. I have a MS 170 and love it but it does love fresh gas.

Further to the above, be aware that for a 2 stroke engine you should be using marine formula Sta-bil for best results.

It has an additional component that combats the tendency of the Ethanol to cause the oil to separate from the gas. It also does better at preventing moisture absorption.
