A Gator powered by six 8V batteries? Is that a factory model or a home-made?

Didn't know. Found that it has eight 6V deep-discharge batteries. (Replacement time would make for an interesting shopping trip.)
Seat cutoffs can be troublesome; I bypassed it on my Elec-Track. Or, there are several electric or battery tractor sites where members will help, and an E-Gator service manual is on ebay.

This e- gator is a 2002 new batteries, no seat switch, a curtis dc motor controller that flashes a status code of 3 flashes pause then 5 flashes. the relay that is clicking and not staying closed, is the relay that supplies power from the batteries to the motor controller, the relay is good the control voltage to the relay checked with a meter is on off on off (click click click click) all four switches on this machine are good and working. thank you for your help.

If it is a Curtis controller, the flash is a fault code, the description of what it is will be in the manual for the controller.
If you don't have one, all you need is the model number of the controller and you can download it as a PDF document from the Curtis website.
Best of luck.
