Deere shows an engine coolant heater part # AR87167 for diesel engines only. It also requires an engine block heater adapter part# AM134805. Both are "contact dealer" items.

I'm sure that JD is getting them somewhere else since it is a Yanmar motor. It would be nice if you could look at one, but I'm sure that wouldn't happen at a Deere dealer. Yanmars are used alot in marine applications , but I guess a marine supply store would be just as bad. I would think that as long as you could hook up to a coolant port somewhere with a heating element you would be ahead of the game. I just looked on line and there is one that goes in the lower radiator hose and one that is magnetic that sticks on the block or oil pan. Just google "yanmar diesel block heater"

ok i have installed tons of block heaters on gators and tractors the block heater is a screw in with a short prob. and the adapter kit is a bolt on kit that the heater screws in to it. it you look under your fuel filter there will be a frez plug with two holes(one on ether side). hope this helps.
