  XUV 620i Random Starting Issue

My starter sometimes works and sometimes does not. When it doesn't, the bendix gets hung up without fully engaging. I've bench tested the starter and have checked as many electrical connections as I can find. This is driving me crazy! Any ideas?

Probably your starter drive under load. Doesn't show up on the bench.

A couple people told me to just replace my battery because it was starting to get weak. Is this logical?

Put a charger on your battery and try the starter. If it doesn't change it's probably the starter, if it does, it could be the battery.
