  John Deere Gator Deluxe Cab Fits 620 and 825

I am looking to buy a 2012 825i 4x4 JD gator. I currently own a 2007 620i 4x4 JD gator with a deluxe enclosed cab. The dealer told me I have to buy another deluxe cab for the 825i but I can use my doors from the 625i. I want to know why my 620i cab will not fit the 825i. He also told me they don't sell many deluxe cabs in this part of Texas. In fact he said mine was the only one he had sold with a cab.

Hey Will, they won't tell you it will fit because they want you to buy a new one. When the 825 came out they stopped selling deluxe cabs because they would all fit the new 825 and they wanted to figure how to get more money for the 825 cabs. I guess they are just saying the old ones won't fit so you won't try them. Your 620 cab will fit.

I realize dealers are often telling what they have been told and this may be the case but if he knew it would fit it would be reason enough for him to loose me.

Well, in defense of the dealer, most of them go by part numbers and I'm sure they are different. I wasn't completely sure they would swap until I did it. Also,in retrospect, I did it on a 2011, I can't believe they would change from 2011 to 2012, but I don't know. Also the dealer said he only ever saw that one cab, so I doubt if he knew they would swap.
