John Deere Gator Rollover turnover data needed

I just purchased a 10-yr old 6x4 diesel gator in excellent condition. However my wife read all of the rollover warnings on the decals and in the operators manual and is concerned that it will roll over unless it is only driven on flat ground. Is there any data on what angle the gator will tip over when containing about 300 pounds of operator + passenger and driving at low speed? We are in our mid-70's and don't do crazy things when driving the gator.

I doubt that data is public record. Having been a technical writer in a past career, and been the guy who came up with such labels and decals it is lawsuits that cause those labels.

I would try to appeal the wife's sense of logic that applies to driving a car or anything else on 4 wheels as to tipping over.

You could show her it won't tip over easily by jacking it up on one side or driving it up a steep ramp on one side.

Our present Gator a 620i has seat belts and a roll over protection structure. We had several older Gators that did not have a roll cage or seat belts. I don't know if they were an option for the 6 X 4's but I'd check with a dealer, last I knew a 6 X 4 was still a current model.
I'm not advising you to take any chances but a standard Gator has such a low center of gravity and wide wheel stance that I think you would slide off the seat long before it came even close to tipping over. I've driven them on slopes that look pretty chancy but never worried about an upset.
Frank.

We have a 4 by 2 gator that is oh about 7 or 8 years old. We are on basically flat land but have driven it up and down piles of dirt and such a good bit (not at high speeds) with no indication of any tipping or such. I agree on ours you would slide out sideways first. No roll bar on ours and never felt any need for one. think if a car would handle the grade your Gator would be even more stable.
