I need a link to a Gator CX Technical Manual
There is not much to these machines but something has gone awry and I need to do some research. Looked for over an hour and $40 for a JD CD is just not right.
Wife went to feed horses tonight and heard a pop when she was pulling out of barn. Would not restart after shutting off; no lights or starter. Battery is 12.5 at starter and fuse is good. Going to mess with the transaxle switch and see what I find.
Any link to a manual or wiring diagram would be appreciated.

I need a link to a Gator CX Technical Manual
12.5 to starter and a few of the larger red wires in unused plugs, transaxle switch verified ok with continuity check all the way to the ignition switch. Just can't locate where the 12.5 volts to ignition switch gets lost!?!
Anyone know if the red wire to the ignition switch goes from the switch to one of the leads off the starter?
Broken wire or ???
This unit is less than 2 years old and gets lite duty work.

Hello, just got your note. I don't know if I can be of much help, but you can search for the manual number, which is TM1518, I believe. I've found two links for that in this forum, but they appear to be dead. I will include them to save you from searching for them. But it will give you an idea of the search term you need to use.
Dead Links

I would like a link also, but if it were mine, I'd pay the <10 bucks for one of the e-book peoples download. If you look at the right, you'll see a Google ad, and there are others. Pay a few bucks. If it were mine I would.
Since yours broke while you were using it, I don't know if I can help much. I know ours are outside and sometimes sit where the rats eat the wires. Doesn't sound like your problem.
Anyway search for the manual part number and maybe you'll be lucky.

I need a link to a Gator CX Technical Manual
Paid $9.95 and got a service manual - newer CX so manual number is TM2119. If anyone needs info out of this manual I will try and help.

Electrical schematics show a fusible link between connection at starter and the first splice point.
Off to do some digging.
Thanks for the input jkwilborn

Nice to hear that you found a manual. Did you have to state that you woud not propagate it? Just wondering. I noticed that one of the links that are now dead last over a year.
I was also wondering if you could look and see under the right side of the engine under the flywheel is a seal on the crankshaft. Ours is currently leaking out of this seal. Do they say anything about needing any special tools to replece that seal? What hold it in? We have the seal on order, might be here now. But we will be working on fixing it next week. Just curious if they say anything about changing it out.
Did it help with your problem?
Thanks
Jack

Fusible link melted from starter to three wire joint.
About the worst possible way to connect a 3 to 1 connection. Even if I get a fusible link, trying to connect it to the splice is going to be a real bitch. Time to get creative...
