 Front blade for Gator

I posted this under the John Deere thread as I hadn't seen this one. Hopefully I have it in the right place now - sorry.
I have an JD X595SE Diesel mower and a JD Gator 4x4. I bought a front blade when I got the 595, is this the same blade used on a Gator? Would this blade hook up to my Gator?

If its the same blade, what would I need to use it with my Gator?

Thanks for any help.

Mike: I'm asuming a couple things here, first that your 595 mower had a hydraulic system that lifted the blade and that your Gator is an HPX 4X4. The Gator has a hydraulic system, but it only powers the box dump, no power steering yet. That means your blade lift would have to be elecric which it may allready be. If Deere makes a blade for the Gator I'm not aware of it, but if they do perhaps you could design a mounting system that matches where thay use as push and lift points. Mine has the full front bumper system and the front reciever hitch, but I really haven't took time to look under to see what there attached to. Some of the older Deere dealerships will have kind of a "Bone Yard" of obsolete mower decks, blades, and other odd still useable items that you can search thru and might come up with something. I've found a couple things there in the past to do something on the order of adapting one thing to another as you propose. Best of luck. Frank.

 Front blade for Gator

I found a picture of a Gator blade on the JD web site.

It looks VERY different from the tractor model.

Maybe a bit off the topic, but I have been interested in the comparison between the Deere 2210 and the X595 tractor mentioned above. Not that I am in the market; I'm just curious. Looking over the specs would indicate that they are similar in many ways. The 2210 is quite a bit heavier and doesn't turn as short, but as far as power and size they are about the same. But, the X595 has a higher list price and does not include a rear PTO or 3-point as standard. Also, the 2210 must be classified differently as it has a ROPS. Anyway, I'm just curious.

I'm not one hundred percent sure of the difference between the two. The JD dealer actually tried to talk us into the 2210 because it would do more. The only reason we went with the 595 was because it did not have a ROPs. We wanted something we could get underneath fruit trees with and couldn't if it had a ROPs.
We did get the 3pt hitch but not the rear PTO (another $750). We cut a lot of grass and a lot of it is on sloping ground. So far we are extactic with the 595.
If the 2210 would have had a folding ROPs, then it might have been a different story. We were told they weren't available for the 2210.
