Dennis,
Please don't take this wrong, I love the way 98% of this board is set up, but the search engine and I just don't get along for some reason. I also saw the Google search of the board, but it didn't seem up to Google's standards on the web.
Example: Wanted to find the discussion about the split pipe modification on a front end loaders to plow snow on a gravel road.
Searched for:Snow FEL Gravel (among other searches)
Result: Done
DRankin was nice enough to find and post the link, but I just couldn't come up with the word combination to find it through the search engines available here.
The link below contains all those words, but in separate posts. Is that the problem?
Any useful suggestions?
- JP

I do not mean to hijack your message but I did not see a way to send a personal e-mail on this site. From this post I saw your pictures. Nice tractor!! Picture # 6 (I think) is the detail of a quick connect. Who made it and how do you like it?

Jparker,
Sorry for the slow response.
To search for more than one keyword you need to use a global substitution character, in this case "%".
The search string is not sophisticated as in Google so the order of your words is important.
So a search for:
pipe%snow
In the message search brings up Murfs innovstive idea as the first one in the list. I guess I need to add this little detail to the search page.

I have made changes to the search feature on the site so that you should disregard the previous note on "%", please do not do that or you will now get nothing.
The search engine now looks for all the keywords you imput regardless of the order they are in. But it will only return results where "all" keywords you input exist, so do not use too many or you wil get nothing.

Thanks Dennis. I've been off the board for a while anyway.
rman476 - I love the links and since I borrow equipment sometimes, one of the other systems that sometimes require modifications to the equipment didn't seem to suit my needs. Northern Hydraulics sells these as Part #12610.
Their major fault in my opinion is the lack of a good way to set the lower link spacing, but that really isn't a problem since you must dismount to hook up the upper link & PTO anyway.
