Islam is outraged
Has anyone been following the latest news about the editorial cartoons in the European newspapers that have been causing so much outrage in Islamic countries? Apparently, these newspapers have published a cartoon showing Mohammad with his turban shaped like a bomb. This has provoked the Islamic world to react with outrage. Tens of thousands taking to the streets in protest. Its ironic that a cartoon can stir massive protest through the Middle East, yet 9/11 where thousands died, sparks only token condemnation. The Iranian President proclaims “Israel should be wiped off the the map”. The Islamic world’s response? Silence. Our leaders and the media tell us “Islam is a peaceful religion”. Where are these people? If these people are in fact peaceful and reasonable, then where is their outrage at the despicable acts by extremists within their ranks? I am beginning to think that they don’t exist. Their anger at a silly cartoon seems absurd and highly misplaced.

I followed and looked at all 12 yesterday. It took a bit to find the cartoon, talk about self sensorship of the press. You had to go to a Danish link to find them.
Naturally not being Muslim I did not think the Danish cartoons warranted more than an hmmm. You could imagine what would happen if someone made a movie “The Life of Abdul” the parody of the “Life of Brian”.
Human nature is to cower when evil or adversity rears its ugly head. What happened to the average German in the 1930's and 40's. How many white southerners stood up against terrorism in this nation? We can not expect the average muslim to resist these facist elements. Look what happened to Simon Rushdie when he wrote "The Satanic Verses" in 1988. Basicly he wrote an allegory of Mohamed's recieving of the Koran in one section. He has to live underground as the Fatwa hitmen are looking for him. The average citizen is just killed as the police can not protect them. Some of the moderate clerics in Iraq have been liquidated.

On google news about this subject there are forums much like these post that are from France, Danish, and arab nuts. Some are quite good. Fatwa hitmen will not do to good down here better be carful where you rattle doorknobs. After reading most of these post I think they will have trouble as a rual hitman with any of us. The Suprise was france stood behind their press and said this is the democratic way "Freedom Of speach" when did they grow a set.

I was really surprised at the military response to the one about Rumsfeld.
Did any of you catch the response of the LT on the O'Riley show?
Great attitude. This guy truly walks the talk. More people should emulate this guy.

I don't blame many of them for being outraged! Who would want to have their heritage degraded because of a few! It is a shame that a few people have so little regard for human life or consider the loss of in the name of their lord!

So I used the few loosely! We have a few people in this country that also are in prisons as they took someone elses life. We have people here that don't have a worthy cause either (as far as I'm concerned) but have killed many. I do hope that the good would stop patronizing the bad eggs and let's get them into the skillet and give them what they deserve.
Yes I believe in the death penalty for multi murderer's as our government can't handle the costs of it's commitments now with every child being born automatically owing $156,000. at birth to the national debt. If the government was a buisness it to would have filed banruptcy but needed to about 75 years ago and is only worse now.

I'm beginning to wonder if we could win the war on terror by merely printing cartoons in newspapers all around the world. They may have enough riots to kill themselves off all by themselves.
