Welcome Tweetot2! I'd enjoy checking out a Belarus but don't know anyone around here that has one.

Welcome indeed!!

The Belarus and Zetor also are pretty popular around here, but not for field work, mostly they are either utility/chore machines or used in forestry operations, heavy as sin they are.

I think it's the Belarus which has some neat features, like down pressure on the 3pth, and a front limited slip differential, yup, lock the back and hit the gooey stuff and all 4 wheels bite. The cab models also have a neat feature, a pressurized cab, when you work in dusty conditions air pressure keeps the dirt out instead of sucking it in!!

Best of luck.

This photo by LeeJohn is another example of the creative use of these tractors.

Welcome to Tweetot2! I do see some of those tractors around here, mostly on fruit farms.

I can't believe what I am seeing with that chain saw attachment. Earlier today I was dreaming how to mount one on my extendahoe bucket so I can trim those large, dangerous branches without being up on a ladder or in the tree. Even with a safety belt and hooks you can get into trouble working alone.

Is the "poor man's pole say" for real? It looks as if it is, but then these days with digital enhancement, anything can be put together. How does one control the throttle on the chain saw? Remote control somehow? If it really works, this is neat idea.

Brian

Not sure about that saw but my pole saw is electric, no problem with the control. Since the entire unit was fairly expensive I will most likely use a cheap electric saw and fasten it to my backhoe bucket.

Cutter,

Now that you mention it it looks like the saw in the picture is electric too. Also looks like an orange cord going down the pole. A electric saw would make sense, because it's just on or off...no remote control for the throttle needed. A good idea!

Brian
