New Baby Girl
Sorry everyone, but I just felt like shouting it from the rooftops!
My first child was born this morning at 1 am. What a long day! We ent into the hospital at 7:30 am Monday morning. Finally get the kid at 1 am Tuesday. Mom and daughter are doing great.
A real chunk at 8 lbs 7 oz with a big head. I'm surprised I'm typing even half way intelligent after going on just 4 hours of sleep. Man, I'm wiped, but still better than the new momma is doing.
Woohoo!! To those that have kids of their own: Now I understand.

Congrats indeed.
Hopefully Mom & baby will be home safe & sound with you shortly.
Now get some sleep, it may be the last you get for several years.
Best of luck.

Congratulations! We don't have kids so can only imagine what you're feeling, but we wish you all the best.

Congratulations on the new addition to the family! Murf is right about the sleep. Read up on "toxic waste" handling procedures as well. ;O)

Congrats!
Make sure you get the wife a nice bouquet of flowers(red roses with baby's breath) when you return to the hospital.

I--
Congrats to you and your wife. Know that you are justifiably proud, and are comtemplating all the great things your new family can do together.
Before you leave the hospital, see if they will lend you a shop manual on child raising. I'm sure they have one somewhere . . . or maybe not.
Hope all goes well.
