I am looking for some advice. I have 37 shares of prudential common stock that I need to get rid of. I own and have the (original) stock certificate with my name on it. It is in my safe and no agents were invloved. What is the best and cheapest way to cash in on it also what would be the fastest way. Thanks guys/gals

The cheapest and fastest way would be to find someone
who would pay you market value and then send in to
Prudential to get the name transfered. I purchase all
my stock thru Drips(dividend re-investment). I am not
sure if Prudential is a no-load stock or not. If it is
I think that would be the best route. You could also
send it(securred obviously) to whoever handles Prudential's
stock and have it liquidated. I will check to see if
Prudential is a no-load. These are very easy to handle.
I have been doing all my stock and mutual funds thru
no-loads and never have to use a broker. If you buy
and sell alot, the tax stuff is a pain. I very, very
rarely sell any stock, so the tax stuff doesnt concern
me as much.
