 resume

I have got an interview on Tuesday for a company building M1A1 tanks.

They said to bring my Resume. I am just a wrench puller and have never needed a resume before and now what am I supposed to do? I have looked on the net and all the type your own stuff, I can not put my thoughts in to words correctly let alone my work history and experience. It will really irritate me if I can not get this job because of this.

Any body want to make a few bucks and help me?

There are resume writing services that will help you. Look in the phone book under "resume" and see if someone is near you. I used one of these services for the very first resume I ever needed and the finished product made me sound like a genius. After you get the first one done it's easy to copy and update it to add new work experience and tailor it to the job you're after. Hope this helps, and good luck on the job!

Oneace, good luck! One of the problems I have is I like working on neat stuff. M1A1 tanks are neat stuff!

BE sure to read the resume over to make sure the writer isn't taking to much license. Meaning, it's ok to trumpet your successes and skills, but be honest about it. More and more companies are checking them out because more and more people are being a tad too dishonest. I'm not saying you would do that, but if found out, it can and is grounds for termination.

On that note, best of luck for you!! With your skills, you could probably look for and pursue other technician type jobs.

Typing up a resume is a fact of life and can really open doors for you...you just have to try and put a little effort into it...

If you have a computer, then you can do it in a flash...
Good luck in the hunt!!

Yes I know it is a fact of life. But I also know that there is some one out there that is more cultured than me to write it. and I would rather pay some one to do and it be right then me do it my self and have it all bitched up.

Went pretty good. He is charging me $40 so it is cheap enough. He said he would have it done for me on Monday.
