Was watching the JD banner ad with their tractor. Amazing.

But for you guys witha MMM, is that how you get it under the tractor? I thought it was a little harder than that. Laughing out loud

It really is a good ad.

I've been watching the JD ad for some time now and am amazed how JD does a Michael Jackson "kinda" backstep to get the rear attachment connected without reverse tire rotation.

Yes, you can drive over your MMM to get it attached. That, however, defeats anything that I've ever been taught. I tip the bucket on the loader, raise the front tires off the ground, set the gage wheels so the deck will roll as swivels and slide it sideways through to hookup.

A neighbour of mine has a MMM on his machine, he uses the "DRankin school of physics" (see his picture # 2) way of mounting or removing it. Laughing out loud.

He uses a 3PTH ballast box when doing FEL work, and the FEL as ballast for 3PTH implements.

For mounting or unmounting the MMM, he merely sets the 3PTH ballast box down, then turns around, and tries to lift it with the FEL, this lifts the rear wheels in the air. He slides the MMM underneath with a pole, then lowers the tractor back down over it and hooks it up.

It looks pretty scary, but he claims it's the easiest way he's found to do it.

Best of luck.

Makes perfect sense to me.

Pick up the tractor, kick the mower deck under it with your toe, put the tractor down.

Maybe its better I bought a rear mower deck after all.

I would feel really weird driving over my MMM. I set the wheels on it to move it sideways, then I usually have to use a jack to lift the front end up to slide it under. It's so close, but no cigar without lifting it up. I've used the loader too, but it's usually off when I'm monkeying with the MMM. I like to mow without the MMM so I don't hit the house, fences, etc. I've done that before.

The MMM isn't bad to take on and off. I just wouldn't want to do it every week. Some work on Deere's part in changing the design would make it even better. Like I said, it's so close to being very easy. But they missed in a few spots and that makes all the difference in the world.

I've tried that before, but it doesn't cut very well.

I would think taking the FEL of instead would be a better choice!!!

Rolling on the floor laughingMAO......

Thank you Murf,

Since I don't have a MMM or FEL I hated to say anything but I really wondered myself. Like I keep saying the best comedy on the internet, and some of the best people too.

Whoops! My excuse is I had just gotten the kid to bed after a long day at work and the day before I had driven back from Michigan. So basically, I was still fried. I took today off to help recover.

I like to mow without the FEL is what I meant to say. I have tried mowing without the MMM and as Murf said, it doesn't work too well. It also doesn't impress the wife.
