Missing posts - getting more members

Hi,

Just fixed a bug in the site code which resulted in the disappearance of message threads that were edited by the forum moderators.

I put back the missing threads as best I could, let me know if you think I missed one.

Dennis

This is a good place to express my profound thanks for the Moderator program and to the folks who volunteer their time to do the work.

This site is sooooo much more relaxed and appropriate.

Thank you, thank you, thank you..........

Mark

That explans why I haven't noticed any moderated threads. Wink yeah right

I personally haven't had much to do other than helping connect a few people. I guess all the fun goes on after I call it a day.

I do agree though, the tone seems to be a lot more friendly now. I guess the deterance factor of merely having moderators keeps people on their toes.

Best of luck.

DennisCTB,

Though I haven't been a member of this group for very long, this is one of the friendliest groups of people I've come in contact with on the internet.

It is true that we don't have much to argue about here, which is something that can't be said with regard to the political boards I belong to. (geeeeezzzz)

Just wanted you to know that I enjoy this group a whole lot, and that I learn something new here nearly every day. It's been great fun being a member of this fine community, and I want everyone here to know this.

Many thanks.

Joel

Actually I don't think we had any moderation for offensive content, just correcting message typos, although there were probably a few of those ridiculous pharmaceutical spam messages in the mix.

It is funny that after we had those periodic rants, it seems that it cleared up on its own. Perhaps implementing the moderation program sent a message that we just were not going to tolerate the jibber jabber anymore!

Amen!

Dennis

Dennis, I'm the guilty typo corrector where the whole thread disappeared. I'm just happy you got it fixed.

Now we need to figure out how to get this place buzzin?

I must say that I enjoyed an occasional rant. However it did get excessive and I much prefer to see long time members posting again. Thanks to Dennis and the moderators!

Couple things that can be done to get things buzzing.

1)One way to get the place buzzing is for members to post links to Tractorpoint for relevant content on other websites on the internet.

The more sites that point to Tractorpoint as a relevant site the higher our search rank.

2)We need more tractor review content with pix and details that are like my B7800 review.

3)We could use some howto's with pix etc

4) I'd like to have some podcasts as well

Dennis

Great idea with the links Dennis. I am so conditioned to not post links in some places I go that I more or less put it out of my mind. One other thing that your idea brings to mind is to include a link in our e-mails to people with our common interests.
