Message Subject Guide
Just a suggestion...
When asking about parts or help for a certain tractor or whatever, it would be of great help if you could give as much information as possible. Anyone on this forum would be more than happy to help but information is the key. If you have the Make, Model, Year and Serial numbers, that would really get things rolling. If you're not comfortable giving the serial number then please give a serial number range and year.

What I'd like to see is a more or better post titles---better descriptions. Things like "need seal" or a just model number or "help" gets mundane trying to click on them to read only to find out something different.

I agree EW, Anything and everything would help! I think some new posters get upset cause their questions don't get answered quick enough. They need to understand that sometime not enough info is given, so the more info the better. There's zillions of tractors or whatever out there and sometimes it boils down to the serial number that gets the right answer. Even a model number that someone left out an A, D, DT or anyway, you get my meaning.

I have been changing the titles so that the brand and model appear first then some of the key words of the question.
Subject titles need to be written the same way you would Google for a topic. That way people looking for that answer will find the answer here on Tractorpoint.
So a user that types:
Subject: Stuck Lever
Really should be:
Subject: Kubota BX24 Front End Loader FEL stuck fails
It is important to put the brand and model first so that the information can be found. Also including both the abreviated FEL and the meaning of the term adds value as well. The original "Stuck Lever" will never be found on the web.
Do the moderators want to take on the this effort?

Dennis, I just posted a question which I was not sure where to post as the type of machine nor the brand of it are listed. Fully agree subject line should reflect real topic. Is it even possible the orginal poster can "edit" that? The impression to me is they can not. kt

Just a reminder on message subjects. Please put the make and model of the Tractor in the subject line. Put in the subject the keywords that you would put in Google to search on the question you are asking. You will get a much better response, and others will be able to find it better when searching as well. Saying "Help" as the subject is not informative!

Dennis, you realize you're preaching to the choir, right?
Anymore I don't even bother reading unintelligible or no-effort posts. I figure it can't be THAT important to the poster if they can't take a few minutes to write a decent post-- if they want my time or attention.
That said, why not make it part of the posting requirements instead of this post getting buried which will likely never be read for very much longer.
But I'm jis' sayin'

Kenny as my close friends who have come from across the southern US border say to us Americans when they don't want to answer a question or get involved would say: "I'm sorry sir/ma'am, I do not speak english. Have a nice day".
True story! And I laugh when I hear them say it because the American's first response is "Oh! I'm sorry" not even realizing that they were just spoken to---in perfect english.
Gotta love 'em ('cause we can't send 'em back home...yet)
So, Kenny to answer your post, "I'm sorry sir I do not speak english. And have a nice day"
