 work lights 2210 JD installation

I need help installing work lights. I found the extra feed in the rear of the unit but after quickly pig tailing in the light to see if they worked nothing happened.
The fuse is good but I can't seem to get the lights to turn one before mounting them. Any suggestions?

Jackrabbits,

I'm assuming by "feed wire", you mean just a single wire.

Most work lamps are grounded through the metal body. You'll need to at least touch the metal mounting bracket to the tractor frame before they'll light.

If you have a tester, see if you have power to the feed wire. You'll need to attach your tester's red lead to the feed wire. The black lead will fasten to an unpainted/clean portion of the tractor's frame.

I hope this helps.

Joel

Thanks Joel...we'll give that a try but there is red and black coming out so I connected them both? Sounds pretty basic but am "pulling my hair out". Might have to go get a tester.
