 site loading problems

Has anyone else had problems getting the site to load? Using a windows 98 machine at work right after everything starts to load, my machine will freeze up. This is using the work direct internet connection and IE, and using aol both dial up and thru the lan. The only way to break free is control-alt-delete and you get a message "site not responding".My computer at home, an Imac, does not freeze or have problems loading the site.just checking

Perhaps the boss programmed something in that machine to prevent it from being used for pleasure on his time (unless of course you are the boss, then it would be a software problem)!

 site loading problems

I had some problems right after a format change while using an older version of Netscape, but not when I use current IE. I think this site is Javaized. You might want to check to see if Java is enabled on the browser at work. Java editions also are sometimes a problem. Of course, some system departments get very upset about people changing their settings. Many work places now have spyware, and some of it works whether or not a LAN is used--only a connection is required. Too bad many managements don't work the old fashion way--make the work interesting and rewarding enough so employees will want to do it.

Thanks for the ideas. i will check my java settings.. Unless some changes were made to my computer setings thru the LAN that Im not aware of, nothing has changed there. Before a week or so ago, I had no problems accessing the site and I have not changed versions of IE or installed new aol software.
