 I love my wife but

Mike, my condolances as well.

Your point is well taken and it's why I don't get upset about the empty cereal boxes or milk cartons. I just dispose of them myself. It's not worth getting upset over. Life is too short to get upset of the little things.

Now if she had wrecked the tractor or hurt the dog, that would be another issue.

"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, Courage to change the things I can and the Wisdom to know the difference".
I think the gene falls into the former not the latter. You need to love your wife the way God made her. Sorry to here of your loss. I have been married about 20 years and certainly am not prepared for that day.

Concerning worrying about things you can not change. Life is hard and then you die, why make it harder?

Mike
I am sorry for you loss. I have been married for 34 years and it would be tough without her. We do not have a puter at home but I tell her about all of these posts and we have a good laugh. I dont hide any thing from her except gorilla Glue and toilet tissue.

My minister once used a phrase something like this: If you don't think your wife is the greatest woman alive, treat her like she is anyways. It won't take long until you really think she is. (The way you treat her directly relates to how she treats you...and two people that love and respect each other equals a great marriage.) I really am blessed...sure there are little things, but I couldn't find a better wife, mother for my child, and fun person to be around if I tried.

 I love my wife but

It was really funny reading this post until I hit Mike's. Even what we as man think is a long life, it is only a vapor. You are only able to enjoy this life when you have prepared to leave it.

Why do all of us complain about our spouses (wife for me), cause we love them. Someone who means nothing to you may irrate you in traffic or such but that is so fleeting. I fully believe you miss a person in direct relationship to how much they meant to you.

As to the tissue, give or buy a very pretty holder for tissue to match each bathroom. Fill it once and guess what, that often works.

I must ask Iowafun, now just why were you squated down looking for a pot anyhow?

As to keeping the gorilla glue and tisse paper seperate, makes good sense to me.

I like good humor, it is by far better here than the Comedy Channel. Bet you guys have better "you might be a redneck" stories than Jeff F every thought of. Don't imagine he reads here do you?

Mike, thank you for sharing your loss. No doubt it open more than our eyes, but our hearts too. Sorry it happen. God Bless.

kt
